The Sanctuary represents an understanding and application of energy medicine based upon Traditional Chinese Medicine principles with an innovative American approach. Treatments are low cost and have minimal or no side effects. Clinic hours are flexible, by appointment only. Clinicians are happy to spend the time and energy helping patients heal themselves through the time-tested modalities of acupuncture, herbal medicine, therapeutic massage, reiki, cupping, tui na massage, gua sha and trance work.
Oriental medicine can treat the majority of what western medicine treats, and often takes over and succeeds brilliantly where western medicine falters.
There are mainly two forms of massage:
Relaxation massage, where the whole body gets the benefits of releasing stress.
Therapeutic massage can help effectively in cases of pain due to myofascial dysfunction, through different methods such as trigger point therapy, muscle energy and myofascial techniques.
